How we handle your personal data
This notice explains what we collect when you request a charter or contact us, why we collect it, and your rights under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.
Last updated: October 2026
1. Who we are
Aerodynamic Aviation (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our booking channels. Contact our data protection lead at info@aerodynamicaviation.net, on +254 702 125 440, or at Wilson Airport, Nairobi, Kenya.
2. What we collect
- Booking details: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, route, travel dates, number of passengers, aircraft preference and any notes you give us.
- Passenger information needed to operate a flight once you book, such as names as shown on ID, passport details for cross-border flights, weights for load planning, and any assistance needs you tell us about.
- Website usage data, such as pages visited and buttons clicked, collected through analytics tools to improve the site.
3. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To respond to your request, prepare a quote and contact you about it (steps taken at your request before a contract).
- To plan and operate your flight safely, including filing flight plans and meeting aviation, immigration and customs requirements (performance of a contract and legal obligation).
- To send you empty-leg or membership offers, only if you ask us to (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To understand how the website is used and improve it (legitimate interest).
4. Who we share it with
We share only what each party needs: the licensed aircraft operator and crew flying your trip, airports and ground handlers, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and immigration or customs authorities where required, and service providers that help us run our business, such as our email and form-delivery providers and WhatsApp. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Transfers outside Kenya
Some of our service providers store data outside Kenya. Where that happens, we take the steps required by the Data Protection Act to make sure your data is protected to an equivalent standard.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months so we can follow up on your request, and booking and flight records for as long as aviation, tax and accounting law requires. After that we delete or anonymise them.
7. Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access the personal data we hold about you, to object to its processing, and to ask us to correct or delete it. You can also ask us to stop sending offers at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within the time limits set by law.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) at www.odpc.go.ke.
9. Security
We protect your data with access controls and secure, encrypted connections. Only staff and partners who need your details to arrange your flight can see them.
