FAQ

Questions before you fly

How much does a private charter flight in Kenya cost?

Charters are priced per aircraft, and the cost depends on the aircraft, flying time, waiting time and any airstrip fees. Every quote is all-inclusive with no hidden extras. Send us your route and we'll reply within the hour.

Can my charter start outside Nairobi?

Yes. We can pick you up from any airport or airstrip in Kenya and across East Africa, including Nanyuki, Mombasa, Kisumu, Malindi and safari camp airstrips, and fly you wherever you need to go.

How long is the flight from Nairobi to the Masai Mara?

About 45 minutes in a Cessna Caravan, landing at the airstrip nearest your camp. Flights can also start from Nanyuki, Kisumu, Mombasa or any airstrip near you.

How early do I need to arrive for my flight?

Around 20 minutes before departure. There are no long security queues, and your aircraft waits for you.

How much luggage can I bring?

The Kenyan safari standard is 15 kg per person including hand luggage, in soft bags (no hard suitcases), with no bag larger than 90 × 65 × 35 cm. Coastal and Kisumu routes often allow 20 kg. Tell us if you need more and we'll plan the right aircraft.

Are small planes safe?

Yes. Our aircraft are flown by experienced, licensed pilots, maintained to manufacturer standards and operated under KCAA regulations. The Cessna Caravan is one of the most widely used aircraft for bush flying in Africa.

How far in advance should I book?

As early as possible in peak season (July–October and December). For urgent flights, call our 24/7 desk; we can often fly the same day.

Can you fly to other countries in East Africa?

Yes: Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and beyond. We handle flight permits and customs arrangements.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety comes first. If conditions are unsafe, we delay or reschedule your flight at no extra cost.

Do you offer one-way flights?

Yes. Ask about empty legs too: one-way flights at reduced rates when an aircraft is returning to base.
